FAQs

Which is the best eyelash extension adhesive?

The best lash adhesive we stock is our Strong Hold Lash Adhesive. It’s our longest-lasting glue and has hundreds of 5-star reviews. However, the best glue for your needs will depend on your experience level, your technique, and your working environment.

Which lash extension glue is best for sensitive clients?

Safe Lash Adhesive is the best sensitive lash glue for clients who experience allergies or reactions to cyanoacrylate (the active ingredient in all lash adhesives).

It contains Ethyl cyanoacrylate, a more gentle form of cyanoacrylate, resulting in a lower rate of reaction and usually much less severe symptoms in people who react to regular adhesives.

It does have a slower drying time (8-10 seconds), and retention isn’t as good as our regular lash glues. However, it’s the perfect option for clients who experience discomfort during lash appointments.

It can also be mixed with your regular adhesive to find a better balance between retention, speed, and severity of reactions. To do so, simply dispense one glue dot on top of the other and mix with a toothpick.

Which is your fastest drying lash extension glue?

The fastest drying glue in our range is our Rapid Lash Adhesive with a 0.5-second drying time. It's recommended for advanced lash artists with a fast action.

How long does adhesive last once opened?

Once opened, adhesive performance can start to change due to air and moisture exposure. For the most consistent curing speed and retention, we recommend replacing your bottle around 4 weeks after opening.

How should I store my lash glue?

Before opening, adhesives can be stored in the fridge (or even the freezer) to extend shelf life. Storing at below 13°C slows down the chemical reaction that causes cyanoacrylate-based adhesives to age.

Once opened, however, they should be stored upright in a cool, dark place, out of direct sunlight, and away from primers or any alcohol-based products, as these can cause the adhesive to dry out. For best results, always wipe down the nozzle after use and replace the cap tightly.

Never store adhesives in the fridge after opening as they will be at risk of being exposed to moisture. The only time storing in the fridge is recommended after opening is if you are concerned your adhesive will be exposed to temperatures above 35°C for extended periods. In this case, we highly recommend first placing the adhesive in an airtight container.

What's the ideal temperature & humidity range for your lash adhesives?

This differs from adhesive to adhesive but you can refer to the chart above and you will also find the recommended humidity and temperature ranges written on the bottle and the product page for each adhesive.

How can I improve the retention of my lash extension glue?

Using a cleanser, primer & super bonder can improve lash retention dramatically.

Our Super Bonder will speed up the curing process and protect the adhesive bond for dramatically improved retention

Can your glues be used for both classic and volume lashes?

Yes, our adhesives can all be used for either volume or classic lashes, however it’s important to find a glue that dries at the appropriate speed for your skill level.

What can I do if my glue isn't working?

We cover a range of issues and their solutions in this blog post: SOLVED: HOW TO FIX EVERY LASH GLUE PROBLEM.

However, you can also reach out to us with any questions you may have.

What is the shelf life of unopened lash adhesive?

Unopened bottles generally last at least 6 months from purchase when stored correctly. We order new adhesive every month so you can always be sure you're getting the freshest stock.

Can I store lash glue in the fridge?

Before opening lash glue can be stored in the fridge to extend the shelf life, however it's not recommended once it's been opened. This can cause moisture to get inside the bottle which will ruin performance.

What causes adhesive to become thick or stringy?

Thick or stringy adhesive is usually caused by exposure to moisture, air, or temperature changes. Lash adhesives cure when they come into contact with humidity, so if the bottle is not sealed tightly, stored correctly, or is past its optimal use period, the formula can begin to polymerise inside the bottle.

Common causes include leaving the cap loose, not cleaning the nozzle properly, storing in high humidity, or using an older bottle. If the consistency has noticeably changed and curing speed or retention is affected, it’s best to replace the adhesive for consistent results.

What ingredients are typically found in professional lash adhesives?

Most professional lash adhesives are cyanoacrylate-based, which is the bonding ingredient responsible for strong attachment and fast curing. Formulas may also contain stabilisers and pigments, depending on the drying speed and colour (black or clear). Different formulations are designed to suit varying humidity levels, working speeds, and client sensitivity. Safety Data Sheets which list all the ingredients can be provided upon request.

Can I use your primer or super bonder with other adhesive brands?

In most cases, yes. Professional primers and bonders are generally compatible across different adhesive systems. However, performance can vary depending on curing speed, humidity, and formulation. If you are mixing brands, we recommend testing your setup first to ensure consistent bonding and retention.
